Scheduling & Service
What areas does Mr. Breeze Heating & Cooling serve?
We serve Leavenworth, Lansing, Basehor, Tonganoxie, Easton, Edwardsville, Fairmount, Bonner Springs, Piper, Maltby, Shawnee, Lenexa, Olathe, Overland Park, Leawood, Mission Hills, and Roeland Park in Kansas, plus Parkville, Platte City, and Weston across the river in Missouri.
Do you really answer calls 24/7?
Yes, really. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM CST, but we answer calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — so when your system quits at 2 AM, a real person picks up.
Do you service all brands?
Yes. We're a Daikin Comfort Pro dealer, but our EPA-certified technicians service and repair all major heating and cooling brands.
Where are you located?
We have two locations: 1296 Eisenhower Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048 and 12400 W 62nd Terrace, Ste F, Shawnee, KS 66216 — which lets us reach the whole Kansas City metro quickly.
Repairs, Tune-Ups & Replacement
Should I repair or replace my system?
It depends on the age of your equipment, the cost of the repair, and how efficiently it runs. Our technicians give you an honest diagnosis with upfront options — we've built trust since 2009 by fixing what can be fixed and only recommending replacement when it genuinely saves you money.
Why do annual tune-ups matter?
Kansas summers and winters both work your system hard. Seasonal tune-ups catch small problems before they become breakdowns, keep efficiency (and utility bills) in check, and protect manufacturer warranties. Our Comfort Club memberships build tune-ups in automatically.
Can I finance a new system?
Yes — through Service Finance, you can install a Complete Comfort System with a payment as low as $65 a month, and qualifying high-efficiency systems can earn up to a $2,600 federal tax rebate. Ask our team for details.
Do you install water heaters too?
Yes. Alongside heating and cooling, we replace, repair, and inspect water heaters, and we install water filtration systems.
The Daikin Difference
What is the Daikin Comfort Promise?
If, for any reason, our company has not met your expectations within one year of your equipment or system installation, we will return to your house to resolve any issues you have with your installation at no cost to you. As part of maintaining the Daikin Comfort Pro distinction, we make all reasonable efforts to resolve any concerns within one year of your installation.
What is the Daikin 12-year warranty?
Daikin systems are backed by comprehensive warranties, including a 12-year parts warranty on all products. Select Daikin products, such as furnaces, offer even more coverage — including 12-year unit replacement and lifetime heat-exchanger warranties. Ask our experts for the exact warranty details on your specific product.
Does Daikin offer rebates?
Daikin frequently offers rebates and incentives on its heating and cooling systems. The specific rebates available vary by location, time of year, and product — contact us for the most up-to-date rebates in the Kansas City area and how to qualify.
Comfort Club Membership
What is the Comfort Club?
Our Club Membership maintenance plans — Sapphire ($34.99/mo), Premier ($17.99/mo), and Comfort ($9.99/mo) — bundle annual tune-ups, repair discounts, and priority scheduling into one simple monthly membership.
What does priority scheduling mean?
Sapphire and Premier members are guaranteed service within 24 hours of their call — members go to the front of the line during the busiest heat waves and cold snaps.
Do club members get repair discounts?
Yes: Sapphire members save 15% on heating, cooling, and water heater repairs; Premier members save 10% on heating and cooling repairs; Comfort members save 5%.
AC Services
How much does an AC repair visit cost in the Kansas City metro?
A standard service call is $129, and after-hours is $179. We removed all travel zones, so the price is the same whether you're in Leavenworth, Shawnee, or Overland Park. If you're a Premier or Sapphire Club member u2014 even if you join the day of the visit u2014 repairs over $750 wipe out both the regular-time and overtime service-call charge. Sapphire members never pay the overtime rate at all.
Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?
It depends on the unit's age, its repair history, the cost of the fix, and how well it's actually keeping you comfortable. For planning we assume roughly 12 years for an air conditioner and 14 for a furnace, but that's a guideline, not a cutoff u2014 we've kept well-maintained systems running longer. Our technician will show you what failed, what can wait, and what your options cost. Replacement estimates are free.
Ductwork Services
How do I know if my ductwork is the real problem?
The usual signs are rooms that never match the thermostat, energy bills climbing without a change in habits, weak airflow from certain vents, and a musty smell when the system runs. Leaky, undersized, or poorly routed ducts make good equipment look bad. We measure airflow rather than guess, and we also perform commercial duct air balancing for light-commercial buildings.
Heat Pump Services
Does a Daikin FIT heat pump actually work in Kansas winters?
Yes u2014 modern inverter heat pumps like the Daikin FIT modulate their output instead of cycling hard on and off, which holds temperatures steadier through a Kansas cold snap and runs quieter than older equipment. Daikin is our featured manufacturer and our General Manager holds Daikin DCP credentials. The right answer still depends on your home's insulation, ductwork, and electrical service, so we assess before recommending.
Heating Services
How long should a furnace last in a Kansas winter?
We plan on roughly 14 years for a furnace in this climate. Beyond that, repairs tend to cluster and efficiency drops. Annual tune-ups matter more than the number, though u2014 a maintained furnace often outlives an ignored one by years. If yours is short-cycling, blowing cool air, or the bills have climbed without a change in habits, it's worth an assessment.
Can I get heating help at night or on a weekend?
Yes. Call (913) 651-7769 any hour and a real person answers u2014 not a machine u2014 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they can reach an on-call technician for emergency service. Overtime work is billed at $179; Sapphire Club members are exempt from that rate. We'll confirm a realistic arrival window with dispatch rather than promise a time we can't hold.
Indoor Air Quality Services
Will a thicker, higher-MERV filter hurt my system?
It can, if the system and ductwork weren't designed for the extra pressure drop u2014 restricted airflow makes the equipment work harder and can shorten its life. That's why we measure airflow and static pressure before recommending a filter upgrade, rather than selling you the densest filter on the shelf.
When should I worry about carbon monoxide?
Treat it as urgent any time a CO alarm sounds, or if you notice headaches, dizziness, or nausea that improve when you leave the house. Get everyone outside first, then call us at (913) 651-7769 u2014 we answer 24/7. Yellow or flickering burner flames, soot around a furnace or water heater, and heavy condensation on windows near the appliance are all worth an inspection before heating season.
Mini Split Services
Where do ductless mini splits make sense in an older home?
Mini splits earn their keep anywhere ductwork doesn't reach u2014 a finished attic or basement, a room addition, a converted garage, a sunroom, or one bedroom that's always the wrong temperature. In older Leavenworth and Lansing homes they're often cheaper and far less invasive than extending duct runs through finished walls.
Plumbing Services
Do you install tankless water heaters?
Yes. We install and service both conventional tank water heaters and tankless units, including the State X3 tankless line, which needs no routine maintenance. We also handle whole-home water filtration, sump pumps, and standard plumbing fixtures u2014 bathroom, kitchen, toilets, and sinks. Which one fits depends on your hot-water demand, gas and electrical capacity, venting, and available space.
Do I need a permit to replace a water heater or HVAC system?
Usually yes, and we pull it for you. Our office manager handles permits with each jurisdiction we work in u2014 Leavenworth, Lansing, Basehor, Bonner Springs, and Johnson County for Shawnee, Olathe, Overland Park, and Mission. Permit fees typically run $100 to $400 depending on the city and scope, and we schedule and close out the inspection in-house so nothing is left open on your property record.
Leavenworth, KS
Do you charge more to drive to my part of the service area?
No. We removed all travel zones u2014 a service call is $129 and after-hours is $179 no matter which city you're in. We work roughly a 25-mile radius from our Leavenworth shop at 1296 Eisenhower Road, covering Leavenworth, Lansing, Basehor, Bonner Springs, Tonganoxie, Easton, Piper, Edwardsville, and the wider Kansas City metro.
Overland Park, KS
How do I choose between a local HVAC company and a national brand?
Ask who is accountable after the sale. With Mr. Breeze you can reach the people responsible for the work: it's a family-run business, founded in 2009, still owned and operated by the Grossenburg family, with two local shops and a phone answered by a real person 24/7. Ask any contractor for their license and insurance status, who pulls your permit, exactly what the warranty covers, and whether the person quoting the job has done the work themselves.
Shawnee, KS
Do you have a location closer to Johnson County?
Yes u2014 we run two shops. Our Shawnee location is at 12400 W 62nd Terrace, Suite F, alongside our Leavenworth headquarters at 1296 Eisenhower Road. That means Johnson County work is dispatched locally for Shawnee, Lenexa, Olathe, Overland Park, Leawood, Mission Hills, and Roeland Park.
Weston, MO
Do you service homes in Missouri?
Yes. Our service radius crosses the state line, and we regularly work in Weston, Platte City, and Parkville, Missouri. The same pricing applies u2014 $129 for a service call, $179 after hours, with no travel-zone surcharge for crossing the river.
